Welcome to Blue Earth Village
Blue Earth Village (BEV) is an evolving educational and community hub on the beautiful Amed coast of East Bali. BEV is a labor of love growing with the patient efforts of locals, long term residents and their extended international freediving and yoga community.
Our goal is to create an open and non-judgmental space for mind/body education and socializing and to become part of the wider drive to make Amed a green traveller destination…
We are very grateful to have some of the best views of Gunung Agung from our restaurant and we have done our best to maximize these views without affecting the natural beauty of the land. The building is a mix of shipping containers, Bamboo and recycled objects with an aesthetic that is somewhere between 21st century Robinson Crusoe and the Ewok village from Star wars.
Though we do serve fish and meats, our long term goal is to create the most diverse vegetarian and vegan menu in East Bali.
The seating in the restaurant is spread out over an eclectic mix of spaces, from intimate garden cubbies, to cushioned bamboo decking and huge wooden round tables.
The 21st century study of yoga and the mind/body connection is one of the most exciting things happening in the world today. Our passionate teachers apply the insights of freediving, neuroplasticity and modern brain science to help our students on their yogic journey. Our sala is one of the most beautiful in all Bali with awe-inspiring views of Gunung Agung.
Blue earth village is a passion project, a space for connection and cross fertilization between people and practices, especially those associated with water and the natural world.
Blue Earth was created by a group of friends with a shared love of freediving and the mind/body sciences. At present it has three spaces for training and one of the most popular restaurants in Amed. We already work with some the best coaches in the world of freediving and yoga, and are close to realizing our dream for a water-based therapy centre and Bali’s first freediving pool, (built out of recycled shipping containers). If this sounds like your kind of thing, come and pay us a visit.
